THOROFARE, N.J., Nov. 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Akers Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKER), (“Akers Bio” or the "Company"), a developer of rapid health information technologies, today announced that effective at 8:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Monday, November 25, 2019, the Company will effect a reverse stock split of its issued and outstanding common stock of no par value at a ratio of one (1) share of common stock for every twenty four (24) shares of common stock. As a result of the reverse stock split, every twenty four of the Company’s issued and outstanding shares of common stock will be automatically converted into one share of common stock. The reverse stock split will have the effect of reducing the number of issued and outstanding shares of common stock and the number of authorized shares of common stock at a ratio of one-for-twenty four.
