The module, which will serve the new platform at the Valhall field in the southern part of the North Sea, is now ready for transport to Aker Solutions' yard at Stord. There, it will be integrated with the production and wellhead platform (PWP) ahead of installation at Valhall. Production start-up for the Valhall PWP-Fenris project is anticipated in the second quarter of 2027 (Q2 2027). Aker BP stated that the newly completed MEG module is designed to facilitate the recycling of monoethylene glycol in pipelines linking the Valhall and Fenris fields. This process supports operational safety and stability over extended offshore distances, said the company. Aker BP project director Rannveig Storebø said: “This is a significant and highly visible milestone in the Valhall PWP-Fenris project.
