The link-up will take the form of an all-stock "merger of equals" and result in a "global coatings leader" worth $25 billion and generating revenue of $17 billion, it said. AkzoNobel CEO Greg Poux-Guillaume will become the new company's chief executive, and Axalta chairman Chris Villavarayan will become his deputy. The new company will own some 100 brands and 173 production sites globally. The merger is to be completed by the start of 2027, both companies said.
