Insurance giant Allstate says Khit Chiropractic and related businesses across Central and South Texas have been scamming insurance companies for unneeded treatments. (Khit Chiropractic & Wellness) A string of clinics across Central and South Texas have been implicated in a sprawling conspiracy to defraud medical insurers, with providers allegedly providing unnecessary tests, treatments, injections and other care. Insurance giant Allstate Corp. is suing 10 medical, chiropractic and other companies tied to Luis and Alejandra Khit of Mission, many of which operate under their name. The facilities are in Austin, Kyle, Mission, Rio Grande City, Harlingen, Edinburg, McAllen, Weslaco and Brownsville, according to the 155-page suit filed in U.S. District Court in Austin. It names the Khits along with 16 staff members, doctors, radiologists and other individuals.
