The initiative, under the CHIPS and Science Act, aims to enhance U.S. leadership in technology by building a new facility in Covington, Georgia. The proposed 120,000-square-foot facility will focus on developing advanced substrate technology for semiconductor packaging, marking the first CHIPS investment in a commercial facility for this purpose. The project is expected to create 1,000 construction jobs and 200 positions in manufacturing and research in Covington, Georgia.
