Since the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered movie theaters nationwide throughout March, there hasn’t been much good news at all for the industry. But one analyst has found a bit of a silver lining as states (and therefore theaters) begin to reopen in the coming weeks and months.Analyst Eric Wold of B. Riley FBRbelieves that social distancing practices related to coronavirus could move the needle on a long-time problem for movie houses: low attendance on weekdays.“We would expect movie-goers naturally moved their attendance to Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday to naturally smooth attendance during the week (and would not be surprised if exhibitors enticed them to do so as well),” Wold wrote.His line of thinking seems to be that audiences will have much lower interest in heading to a packed movie theater on Friday or Saturday night because of crowding and will instead buy tickets on historically sparser nights.Today In:LOS ANGELES, CA - The AMC Movie Theater at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa
