Packaging solutions provider Amcor is providing Vöslauer Mineralwasser with a new tethered closure for its signature bottles. The closure is designed to remain attached to the bottle when open, complying with European Union requirements for single-use bottles up to three litres. This regulation, part of the EU Single-Use Plastics Directive, is intended to reduce littering and improve recycling rates where proper recycling systems are available. Vöslauer Mineralwasser's Yvonne Haider-Lenz said: “We appreciate that our customers have high standards and our commitment to quality is as evident in our packaging as it is in our mineral and flavoured waters. “We value our longstanding collaboration with Amcor and the company's ability to support our ongoing sustainability commitments.” The redesigned closure opens to a wide angle and clicks into position away from the user's face.
