AMD and other chip stocks rallied Friday following a strong first-quarter report from Intel that pointing to growing demand for AI hardware. Analysts said the results bode well for sales of AMD's chips, with the rival chipmaker set to report its own results early next month. Intel isn't the only chip stock hitting new highs after the chipmaker's strong earnings Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) and Arm Holdings ( ARM ) also climbed to new records Friday, amid expectations that Intel's results could have positive implications for the rival firms. Both stocks were up about 14% in recent trading, amid a broader chip rally led by shares of Intel ( INTC ), which surged nearly 20%.
