The deal includes $5 billion invested immediately at Anthropic's current valuation of $380 billion, according to CNBC , with up to $20 billion more tied to commercial milestones. As part of the agreement, Anthropic will direct over $100 billion toward Amazon Web Services technologies across the next decade. The chip coverage under the agreement spans multiple generations of Trainium — from Trainium2 up through the not-yet-released Trainium4 — along with Graviton processor cores, according to the company. To support training and deployment of Claude, Anthropic has locked in up to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity under the arrangement, with some Trainium3 capacity slated to become available this year. AWS customers will also gain access to Anthropic's Claude platform directly through their existing AWS accounts, without separate credentials, contracts, or billing relationships, Amazon said.
