Anadarko Petroleum: Cash Flow Positive At $50s Oil Summary In 2019, Anadarko will spend $4.5Bn as CapEx, a vast majority of which have been earmarked for its oil-rich US onshore assets. The Delaware Basin and DJ Basin will continue to fuel the company’s production growth in 2019. Anadarko may face a cash flow shortfall in the short-term but as oil prices improve to mid-$50s, the company will start generating positive FCFs. Anadarko may appeal to those investors who can tolerate a bit of risk. 2019 could turn out to be a difficult year for oil producers since the price of the US benchmark WTI crude could average less than $55 a barrel, down from $65 in 2018.
