Industry Leaders Join Forces to Drive 5/2.5 Gbps Connectivity Over Existing LAN Cabling SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aquantia, a leader in Multi-Gigabit Ethernet, today announced a collaboration with KT Corporation (KT), South Korea’s leading telecommunications provider to deliver 10G, 5G and 2.5 Gbps network speeds over the existing copper cables in today’s networks. As part of this upgrade cycle, in addition to delivering 10G and 5G to its fiber to the home (FTTH) customers, KT plans to deliver a minimum of 2.5G service to customers residing in buildings where the number of copper cables is limited to only 2 pairs. This infrastructure configuration is extremely common in apartments and other small and medium-sized buildings throughout Korea.
