AlphaTON Capital is trying to make the case that AI infrastructure is becoming just as important as the software layer built on top of it. The company said Thursday it has entered a roughly $43 million AI hardware and financing agreement with Vertical Data, a deal it says will help expand its privacy-focused AI infrastructure. The transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter, centers on a GPU cluster built on NVIDIA's B300 architecture and financed through Vertical Data's GPUfinancing.com platform on a non-recourse basis.
