Tuesday's regular session showed how sensitive investors have become to artificial intelligence spending concerns, as the S&P 500 fell 0.49%, the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.9%, and the Dow lost 25.86 points, or 0.05%. Technology stocks led the decline after concerns emerged that OpenAI had missed internal revenue and user-growth targets, raising fresh doubts over whether the current AI spending boom can justify the valuations attached to major cloud, chip, and software companies.
