(NYSE:AWK)'s fourth-quarter earnings and revenue fell short of Wall Street projections, mainly due to rising expenses at the water and wastewater utility. The Camden, New Jersey-based firm reported adjusted earnings of $1.24 per share for the quarter ended December 31, up from $1.15 per share a year earlier but falling short of analysts' expectations of $1.25 per share, according to LSEG data.
