On April 28, 2026, Barrick Mining Corporation (NYSE:B) announced several executive appointments and provided an update on the planned IPO of a minority stake in a new company that will hold its North American gold assets. The company said a dedicated leadership team has already been working together for months and includes Tim Cribb as COO, Wessel Hamman as CFO, Joe Heckendorn as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, Megan Tibbals as Chief Technical Officer, Richard Barley as Chief HR Officer, Javier Ortuzar as Vice President of Exploration, and Amanda Steensen as Vice President of Sustainability. The new entity, North American Barrick, will hold four Tier One gold assets located in North America: the Carlin Mine, Cortez Mine, and Turquoise Ridge Mine operations within the Nevada Gold Mines complex, along with the Pueblo Viejo Mine.
