Related news The Boeing 737 Max saw another surge in order cancellations Friday just as its key Puget Sound factory is set to reopen early next week. But Boeing ( BA ) stock rose. General Electric 's ( GE ) aircraft leasing subsidiary, GE Capital Aviation Services, said that it canceled orders for 69 undelivered Boeing 737 Max jets amid a slowdown in travel during the coronavirus crisis. "Today's agreement will help GECAS better align our available fleet with the needs of our global customer base," CEO Greg Conlon said in a statement. "We remain fully committed to the 737 Max program and our valuable, long-term partnership with Boeing." GE Capital Aviation Services said that it currently has 29 Boeing 737 Max jets in its fleet and still has 82 on order. Boeing is facing steep order cancellations as carriers look to save cash amid the decline in travel during Covid-19. On Tuesday, the Dow Jones aerospace giant said that customers canceled a total of 150 Boeing 737 Max orders in March.
