Under a worst-case course of events, Brent crude ( CO1:COM ), the international benchmark, at $190 a barrel would trade at more than double its current price of around $89 a barrel on Wednesday. Three potential scenarios surrounding the Iran-Israel conflict could develop over the coming months, ranging from a “limited skirmish” to a “regional war scenario,” Bank of America (BofA) said in a note Tuesday. Iran last week launched a missile strike against Israel in retaliation to a suspected Israeli attack on Iran's embassy in Syria on April 1. In the worst-case scenario, Brent oil at $190 a barrel and a climb to $180 in West Texas Intermediate oil ( CL1:COM ) could be seen in the second quarter of this year, BofA said.
