These should be sufficient to steer investors through awkward family dinner conversations over the holidays. Question two regards how long it will take before younger professionals can afford a house. The answer is not anytime soon and this is likely true on both sides of the border. One underestimated factor, according to BofA, is existing homeowners with low-rate mortgages not wanting to sell and take a higher rate mortgage for a new residence.
