ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 30, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BayFirst Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: BAFN) (“BayFirst” or “Company”), parent company of BayFirst National Bank (“Bank”) today reported a net loss of $18.9 million, or $4.66 per common share and diluted common share, for the third quarter of 2025, compared to a net loss of $1.2 million, or $0.39 per common share and diluted common share, in the second quarter of 2025. The current quarter’s net loss was driven by higher provision expense and $12.4 million in one-time charges, including a restructuring charge of $7.3 million, as a result of the exit from the SBA 7(a) lending business and the definitive agreement to sell SBA 7(a) loans to Banesco USA. “Our third quarter results reflect a period of significant strategic transformation for the Company,” stated Thomas G.
