MCLEAN, Va., March 24, 2026 BUSINESS WIRE Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) today announced it has been selected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) to build a first-of-its-kind cloud-based data platform that will power the nation's weather forecasting tools and services. The work supports a new NWS initiative, the Central Integrated Real-Time Repository for Unified Services (CIRRUS), aimed at transforming how weather data is processed, analyzed, and delivered by using cloud technology, advanced data engineering, and AI. As part of this effort, Booz Allen will help rebuild the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS)—the cornerstone system used to ingest, analyze, forecast, and disseminate operational weather data to forecasters—in a secure cloud environment and at speed.
