Couchbase's financial reviews show mixed fundamentals, with decent revenue growth but a lack of profitability and cash flow generation. I expect Couchbase to see higher uptake of its DBaaS offering, Capella, into 2024. However, lower revenue visibility and the crowded market still present key risks. Couchbase ( NASDAQ: BASE ) is a software company developing document-oriented / NoSQL databases for enterprise applications, where its offerings are designed for high-performance workload. Share performance has been lackluster. BASE went public at $34 in 2021, however, despite reaching an all-time high of $47 the following month, it continued trending down into 2022. Sideways price action followed for most of 2022 and 2023, where share price was mostly staying in mid-teens. Over the past year, though, the stock seems to have gained momentum.
