Bed, Bath & Beyond is back three years after bankruptcy, with big plans for more stores and an "Everything Home" concept. After buying Kirkland's last year, the company has also signed deals to acquire The Container Store, Elfa and Closet Works. Three years after filing for bankruptcy and closing all 360 stores, Bed, Bath & Beyond, one of the original big box retailers, is attempting a comeback. The company's big plans include new stores, the merging of old brands, and the acquisition of other retailers including The Container Store. Here's what we know: The bankruptcy The backstory Founded in 1971, Bed Bath & Beyond had for years enjoyed its status as a big box retailer that offered a vast selection of sheets, towels and gadgets unmatched by department store rivals.
