However, even the most iconic retailer is not immune to changing economics and right-sizing. Since 2025, Bath & Body Works has closed 92 stores worldwide, including 62 in the U.S. and 30 internationally, according to its fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report . According to The Street, in the fourth quarter alone, the company closed 28 North American locations and seven international stores. Almost all the closures were in mall-based sites. The closures are part of a wider effort to revamp the brand known for its rotating lines of scented bath products, lotions, soaps, candles and more. “We are undertaking a comprehensive, end-to-end evolution of our business - building a Bath & Body Works that is more innovative, more relevant, and easier to shop. This work lays the foundation for sustained, long-term growth as we reposition the company from a specialty retailer to a premier global brand,” said Daniel Heaf, chief executive officer of Bath & Body Works.
