Bank (the "Bank" or "UBB"), announced earnings of $8.2 million, or $0.75 per diluted common share, for the first quarter of 2026, compared to earnings of $6.9 million, or $0.63 per diluted common share, for the fourth quarter of 2025 and $5.7 million, or $0.51 per diluted common share, for the first quarter of 2025. Net income for the first quarter of 2026 increased $1.3 million, or 19.3%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2025. This increase was primarily the result of a $920,000 favorable change in the provision for credit losses, reflecting a net recovery of $670,000 in the current quarter compared to a $250,000 provision in the prior quarter, as well as a $660,000 increase in noninterest income and a $191,000 increase in net interest income. These changes were partially offset by a $340,000 increase in noninterest expense, primarily due to higher salaries and employee benefits, and a $109,000 increase in the provision for income taxes.
