The Vanguard Russell 2000 ETF tracks the performance of the index, and its solid returns could persist for the remainder of 2026. The ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have sparked wild swings in oil prices, with significant consequences for the global economy. It's led to market volatility over the last few months; however, the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) , the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) , and the Nasdaq-100 still managed year-to-date gains of between 1.6% and 7.1%.
