ClearBridge portfolio managers are becoming attentive to the stability of the U.S. consumer, whose resilient spending has been central to U.S. economic growth. The ClearBridge Appreciation ESG Strategy underperformed the benchmark S&P 500 Index in the fourth quarter. ClearBridge initiated new positions in Ferguson, Boston Scientific, Amphenol and Arista Networks while exiting Canadian Pacific Kansas City, Lennar, Oracle and Texas Instruments.
