Jack Daniel's parent Brown-Forman stock reiterated as sell at CFRA after earnings miss and guidance cut CFRA reiterated its sell rating on shares of Jack Daniel's parent Brown-Forman Corp. BF.B, -3.92% on Wednesday, after the company posted weaker-than-expected earnings for its fiscal third quarter and cut guidance for the full year. The company cited global uncertainty and the impact of the coronavirus that has now sickened more than 93,000 people and killed more than 3,100. On a call with analysts, executives said tariffs were having an impact, while the coronavirus was hurting the travel retail business, but emphasized it was still too early to impact secondary effects in countries like Italy, that are seeing a cluster of cases. "We originally downgraded the stock to Sell in mid-November due to valuation and the risk of a guidance cut," CFRA analyst Garrett Nelson wrote in a note to clients.
