The demand for organ transportation is increasing, aided by perfusion devices, but the demand for jet flights is normalizing after the pandemic. eVTOL could catalyze growth in Blade's passenger business, but this is likely still several years away. In addition, this could increase competition by opening up more heliports. Blade's valuation is low, but this will not matter unless the company can continue to drive growth and transition to profitability. While Blade Air Mobility, Inc. ( NASDAQ: BLDE ) has positioned itself as an urban mobility company, its Medical business is currently driving growth and margins. This is potentially problematic as competition is increasing, and as I have previously suggested , Blade lacks a clear competitive advantage. TransMedics Group, Inc.'s ( TMDX ) aggressive expansion into organ transportation appears to have provoked a defensive response from Blade. The commercialization of eVTOL aircraft could boost Blade's Passenger business in a few year
