Stéphan Morency has been appointed president and CEO of Fondaction and of the Bâtirente and Fondaction Combination, effective April 13. Morency, who brings 25 years of experience to the role with a focus on sustainable finance and impact investing, will succeed Geneviève Morin , who is retiring after more than three decades with Fondaction and participated in its creation in 1996. Morency joined the Quebec-based, labour sponsored investment fund 16 years ago as a portfolio manager, moving into progressively more senior positions since then, including five years spent as chief investment officer. He's currently executive vice-president, strategy and planning, and has been executive chairman of Fondaction Gestion d'actifs since 2022.
