MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Badger Meter, Inc. (NYSE: BMI) today reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2020.First Quarter 2020 HighlightsDelivered strong operational performance while rapidly implementing health, safety and business continuity plans to deliver critical products and services deemed essential for customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.Net sales for the first quarter of 2020 were $108.5 million, an increase of 3% compared to $104.9 million in the comparable prior year quarter; municipal water sales increased 6% year-over-year.Net earnings and diluted earnings per share (EPS) were $11.9 million and $0.41, respectively, compared to $10.8 million and $0.37 in the comparable prior year period, an 11% year-over-year EPS increase.$30.5 million of cash provided by operations representing strong earnings conversion.Overview"In this unprecedented time, our focus is on the health, safety and well-being of our employees, customers, suppliers and communities,” s
