BMO's Canadian P&C segment has faced rising credit charges, but stabilization in 2026 could support earnings. Momentum in the U.S. Banking segment should also carry over. BMO's robust balance sheet is enabling supplemental share repurchases, with a 13.3% CET1 ratio pointing to around $3.5 billion in surplus capital.
