BRK's non-insurance operating earnings growth has been minimal, with organic profit growth from non-insurance subsidiaries at ~1% despite $57B of net investment over the past three years. The trailing earnings yield, including look-through, is 5.6%, with headwinds of lower interest rates and a tougher underwriting environment for 2026. A 6% earnings yield with minimal growth, free cash flow below earnings, and fair valuation by most methods, with problems to be resolved in the operating units, isn't a compelling investment case.
