Georgia will soon follow with midterm primaries in May , but before some voters can think about statewide races, they first have to fill an open seat. Former House representative Marjorie Taylor Greene resigned from her seat representing Georgia's 14th district in January after a fiery falling out with President Trump . She has continued to speak out against the administration on social media, from their handling of the Epstein files to the recent military strikes in Iran Nearly two dozen candidates announced they were running in the special election to replace Greene, and while that number has decreased as the weeks of campaigning went on, there are still 17 people hoping to head to Washington. Election day is Tuesday, March 10 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and if no single candidate can reach a majority, the race will go to a runoff on April 7.
