The company says it now expects gold production from the mine at between 18,000 and 20,000 ounces for the quarter, down from earlier expectations for about 29,000 ounces. However, it says the impact of lower availability of crushed ore as a result of the fire is expected to be limited to the second quarter and reiterated its full-year gold production guidance for the Goose Mine at 170,000 to 230,000 ounces in 2026. B2Gold said the damage from the fire on April 16 was limited to the crushing circuit area. It says it has mobile crushers at the site and its preliminary plan is to use them to feed crushed ore directly to the fine ore stockpile, while additional temporary crushing capacity will be taken to the site in the second quarter.
