The billionaire's hedge fund and market maker signed an agreement for space at 2 Finsbury Ave., according to a statement Thursday. The firms will lease more than 250,000 square feet (23,226 square meters), with an option to expand their space up to 130,000 square feet. The businesses will relocate from their existing spot at 120 London Wall to the new development once it's completed, which is expected to be in 2027. “This unparalleled building will provide the 21st century workplace experience for the exceptional talent we attract to our firm as we continue to grow our presence in London,” Gerald Beeson, chief operating officer at Citadel, said in the statement. Office markets including London have seen vacancies rise as more companies allow employees to work from home.
