New Year's Day is quickly approaching and millions of Americans are shifting gears toward 2026 following Christmas. If you're looking to start off the new year with some shopping or by eating at your favorite restaurant, most grocery retail and restaurant chains in the Louisville area will be open on New Year's Day, although hours will be adjusted. Most stores are also open on New Year's Eve. The same will not be true for Costco, however.
