The Interim Gaming Hall brought in more than $1.4 million in revenue in November, according to the latest revenue figures released Monday by the Virginia Lottery. The temporary casino opened Nov. 7 . It is housed in a 3,600-square-foot tent-like facility and has 132 slot machines. Also in November, Rivers Casino Portsmouth earned about $25.8 million in revenue. The number is a 5.5% decrease from October, when the casino took in around $27.3 million in revenue. The revenue data provides a first look at how the two Hampton Roads casinos will perform against one another. Norfolk's revenue is far less than the roughly $12 million Danville's temporary casino earned in its first two weeks. Bristol's temporary casino, which opened July 8, 2022, earned $11.7 million in revenue during its first month.
