( BYDDF ) for a second consecutive month, underscoring a shift in momentum inside China's electric-vehicle market. Company filings show that in the first two months of 2026, Geely delivered roughly 76,000 more vehicles than BYD, whose shipments declined 36% over the same period. It is the first time since 2022 that Geely has outperformed BYD for at least two straight months. While Geely's sales were flat to start the year, that performance appears comparatively resilient as several leading domestic brands, including BYD and Xpeng, posted double-digit monthly declines amid the rollback of purchase incentives and the impact of a longer-than-usual Lunar New Year holiday.
