announced it entered into a significant agreement with Caterpillar Inc. to secure approximately $840 million worth of power generation equipment. The deal covered about 1.4 gigawatts of new power generation assets, with orders scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2029. This purchase was intended to support the development of Atlas's private power grid to meet rising industrial electricity demand. With the successful deployment of these assets, the company forecasted it would own and operate approximately 2.0 gigawatts of power generation capacity by 2030. Under the agreement, Atlas committed to the purchase, and in return, Caterpillar agreed to reserve the corresponding manufacturing capacity for the equipment.
