Chicago Bridge & Iron: The Merger-Arbitrage Opportunity Of A LifetimeSummaryThe market reacted violently after news broke that Subsea 7 offered to buy McDermott International in a deal valued at $7 per share.Even though McDermott rejected the proposal, it creates a lot of uncertainty for investors in both it and Chicago Bridge & Iron because of the stakes involved.McDermott and Chicago Bridge & Iron are likely to still tie the knot though, which creates an attractive opportunity for investors on both sides of the deal.Add to this the fact that Chicago Bridge & Iron is already an attractive prospect and I like what I'm seeing.
