TALLAHASSEE, Fla., April 23, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Capital City Bank Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CCBG) today reported net income of $4.3 million, or $0.25 per diluted share for the first quarter of 2020 compared to net income of $8.6 million, or $0.51 per diluted share for the fourth quarter of 2019, and $6.4 million, or $0.38 per diluted share for the first quarter of 2019. Net income for the first quarter of 2020 included a $5.0 million provision for credit losses, which exceeded net loan charge-offs of $1.1 million. The higher provision reflected a build in reserves due to deteriorating economic conditions related to COVID-19.
