On Tuesday, the White House released a memo from the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) in connection with President Trump's December Executive Order “Ensuring American Space Superiority,” to continue with their space nuclear power program. The exact details of this program and whether it's even possible are still vague, but as the memo explains, it means OSTP Director Michael J. Kratsios is starting to do the real work of putting nuclear reactors on the Moon and in orbit. This official follow-up from Washington may be the real deal. It means big money or big tech. WHAT HAPPENED The memo breaks into three sections: "1. Establishing the National Initiative for American Space Nuclear Power," "2. Strategy," and "3.
