COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--COPT Defense Properties (NYSE: CDP) (“COPT Defense” or the “Company”) executed a build-to-suit lease in December 2025 with the University of Maryland’s (UMD) Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) at 4400 River Road in College Park, Maryland, located in the UMD Discovery District. The Company is expected to commence construction of the 110,000 square foot, four-story Class A office development in the first quarter of 2026 and is scheduled for shell completion in the second quarter of 2027. The Company’s anticipated capital commitment to this development project is $65 million.
