After speaking with management, Cowen analyst Robert Moskow believes the move further aligns PepsiCo's ( PEP ) interests with CELH's growth. Crucially, the firm does not expect any notable impact on Celsius' ( CELH ) margins. "When CELH initially signed its distribution agreement with PEP in August 2022, the company had a ~3% share of the energy drink category. Now, as a clear #3 player with a 10%+ share, it makes sense to us that Celsius warrants priority within the portfolio. Incremental placements in Pepsi coolers and expanded distribution at independent convenience stores and food service should offer continued tailwinds to CELH's growth and market share trajectory." Moskow also noted that PepsiCo ( PEP ) made a $550M investment in Celsius Holdings ( CELH ) as part of the initial distribution agreement. PEP's convertible preferred stock in CELH equates to 8.5% ownership on an as-converted basis, which is seen giving the beverage giant no reason to put its fast-growing partner
