ROCKVILLE, Md., June 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cerecor Inc. (NASDAQ: CERC), a biopharmaceutical company focused on becoming a leader in development and commercialization of treatments for rare and orphan diseases in pediatrics and neurology, today announced that it has been added to the Russell 3000® Index effective after the U.S. market opens on July 1, 2019. Dr. Simon Pedder, Ph.D., Executive Chairman of the Board, stated, "We are pleased to be added to the Russell 3000® Index and believe it signifies recognition of the Company’s value and growth potential across our near-term ultra-rare orphan disease platform, our mid-term neurology assets and our existing, revenue generating commercial pediatric franchise."
