Greenwich, CT.-based Littlejohn, a PE and special situations firm with $8 billion under management, is raising around $500 million for a continuation fund to buy Valcourt Business Services , a New Jersey-based provider of window cleaning, pressure washing, and building repair services, and building remodeling business Great Day Improvements , out of older funds under its own management, according to people familiar with the matter. The companies are being transferred into the new vehicle at a price representing a premium to their net asset value. Littlejohn is also looking to raise an additional $300 million to buy more ownership stakes in Valcourt from existing shareholders, the people said. Carlyle AlpInvest's relationship with Littlejohn and Valcourt creates a conflict that has to be carefully managed , PitchBook has reported.
