The AI agent paradox: Leaders believe in the promise of agentic AI, but trust and scalability are low. According to Capgemini's 2025 report , 93% of leaders believe that companies that scale AI agents by mid-2026 will gain a decisive edge, yet only 2% have successfully scaled. In addition, the report states that "confidence in fully autonomous AI agents dropped from 43% to 27% in the past year amidst privacy and ethical concerns."
