Kentucky Democrats explained how they would stand up to him during an April 7 U.S. Senate candidate forum hosted by WHAS11 and The Courier Journal. Democrats running for U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell's soon-to-be vacant seat include former Senate nominee Charles Booker , former Senate nominee Amy McGrath , horse trainer Dale Romans and Rep. Pamela Stevenson , who serves as Minority Floor Leader in the state House. WHAS11 anchor Doug Proffitt said the top four fundraising candidates were invited to the forum based on the last public reports from the Federal Election Commission.
