The tech giant’s marginal 1.4% growth is either asuccessful defenseagainst the combination of coronavirus and U.S. sanctions, or asales plummetfrom the 39% growth of this time last year. Either way, what remains clear is that Huawei’s fortunes are now heavily reliant on China’s support.Huawei described the quarter’s results as “in line with expectations,” blaming the virus rather than the U.S. for its downturn. “A seed that survives the storm,” the company said, “will sprout and then blossom.
