NEEDHAM, Mass., April 08, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chiasma, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHMA), a clinical, late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the lives of patients with rare and serious chronic diseases, today announced its entry into a revenue interest financing agreement with HealthCare Royalty Partners (HCR) for up to $75 million to support the ongoing development and planned commercial launch of its investigational octreotide capsules product candidate, trade-named MYCAPSSA®, for the maintenance treatment of adults with acromegaly. Under the terms of the agreement, Chiasma will receive $25 million from HCR on April 14, 2020 and is entitled to receive an additional $25 million upon the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of MYCAPSSA and an additional $15 million upon the availability of commercial drug supply and first commercial sale of MYCAPSSA.
